World happiness report is released by United Nations sustainable development soulutions network (SDSN), every year since 2012. In this year India ranks 136th out of 146 countries in the world. Finland tops in the list followed by Denmark and Iceland maintained 2nd and 3rd position respectively. SDSN works on 6 parameters, these are: 1) purchasing power parity (PPP) 2) Health life expectancy. 3) social support. 4) perception on corruption. 5) Generosity. 6) Freedom to make life choices. Afghanistan is the only country in the south Asia ranks 146. All the neighbour countries of India, except Afghanistan have higher rankings in the list.

To accelerate the vaccination drive, union health ministry last year launched "har ghar dastak abhiyan" aimed to accelerate the vaccination drive , on the lines of polio vaccination drive, and eradicate the corana disease from India.
