Har ghar dastak abhiyan 2.0 || a complete vaccination drive

To accelerate the vaccination drive, union health ministry last year launched "har ghar dastak abhiyan" aimed to accelerate the vaccination drive , on the lines of polio vaccination drive, and eradicate the corana disease from India. The second edition of this "har ghar dastak abhiyan 2.0" has been launched to work at the ground level and meet the goal.

How so far door to door vaccination drive is effective? 
Over the last 6-8 weeks, the rate of vaccination has dropped significantly from 60-80 lakhs per day to 8-10 lakhs per day now.
The real cause is considered as the COVID cases always became high in the months of March and April over the last two years, but it has dropped significantly this year, so it failed to attract the attention of the people to get vaccine.
Secondly the rate of admitting people related COVID cases and death toll has also become low.
In this situation, it has been seen a general negligence about vaccination. People think the corona has gone, but it not so. It can come in different forms or variants.
There is a no matter of concern about the new variants BA3, BA4 of omicron in India, but it has spreaded very fast in the western countries.
It is very fortunate that about 97 per cent of people above 18 years old has been vaccinated. And the hybrid immunity somehow thwarts the wrath of corona in India. But this corana can anytime take another form, may harm the people.

How this"har ghar dastak abhiyan" is helpful towards old age centres, jailed inmates and disabled people?
Actually the above category people are helpless and they must have accessibility. These people are very prone to affect easily. They can not move easily, so har ghar dastak abhiyan will be very effective measure.

What is the importance of precautionary dose?
It will further strengthen our immune system. A number of variants of corona may come but the strengthened immune system will respond effectively and protects our whole body.

Some parents avoid vaccination in their children?
Some parents have an another kind of concern. The vaccine which is being vaccinated among children is one of the safest vaccines in the world and it is effective.
Benifits to children
When children go to school, studying, playing with other children. There is a high chances of infection from one body to another. So the children need to be protected.
It guards the children from all kind of variants of corona.
It also helps in building up a trust between students- students and students-teachers.
