Quality of Population.

Quality of population is necessary for the development of any country. India with population over 142.9 crore recently surpassed China by a small margin of 0.2 crore. Although we surpassed China but India lag behind in terms of quality population with only 900 million or 90 crore population human resource. If we really want to defeat China in all terms we have to prepare with investment in the human population.

We have segregated this into three aspects- education, health and skill development. Apart from this we should also work other factors which support all the above aspects. Recently it has been seen that the government of India has shifted it focused on human resource. The investment in human resource trend shows that in the year 1951 spent only 151 crore rupees on education, which is now more than 3700 crore. There is a gradual hiking of budgetary allocation in the education sector. This results in the literacy rate which was only 18 per cent in 1951 has increased to 74 per cent in 2011.

But the literacy rate differs in various aspects -

1. The literacy rate of both men and women are not same.

2. The literacy rate of rural areas are higher than urban areas.

3. Literacy rates varies from states to states.

Kerala witness achieved 100 percent literacy rate whereas Bihar state has only 65 literacy rate.

How does government trying to promote education?

Aiming to provide Universal Access to education, retention, imparting quality education, adding bridge courses for dropped out students so that they can again join the mainstream of education, setting up  of JNV schools in each districts, increasing budgetary allocation are very helpful measures might results in a healthy and quality population.

Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self exile to UK

Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self exile to UK. BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self-exile, triggers a ray of hope among people especially minorities living there whose lives are at stake due to frequent incidents of violence. His return can be seen as ending of BNP leadership vacuum and projecting him as a Prime Ministerial post. When he exiled Bangladesh in 2008, never believed he would return Bangladesh but this time as there is no big party before him and general election scheduled on February 12 in 2026, giving him a golden chance to come to power through election. But one of the biggest intersting things is that some members of NCP still don't want to ally with jamaat e Islami. This jamaat e Islami has a very controversial historical records and divisise policy. This jamaat e Islami had waged a war in Bangladesh and has a great sympathy with Pakistan. During military rule in Bangladesh, Shiekh Mujibur Rahman w...
