Article 370 , a special special status for Jammu and Kashmir.

The Union Home minister Amit Shah on August 5th, 2019 scrapped the article 370 that granted a special status to the Jammu and Kashmir. The move triggered a widespread criticism of the central government and drew flak from oppositions.

Historical background

Jammu and Kashmir was become an integral part of India by an instrument of annexation. Later on 17 October 1948, the centre gave a special status to the state kept foreign affairs, communication and defence in it's hands. The central laws didn't enforce in the state without having permission from state legislative assembly. Any laws or schemes of the central government had to get prior permission from the state for the enactment.
The state had it's own constitution and flag and had little autonomy. People of other states had no rights to live permanently or purchase land there after 14 May 1954 due to enactment of section 35-a of article 370. This section prohibited outsiders to settle in Jammu and Kashmir. People who went before 14 May 1954, became the permanent citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.

Needed for annulment of article 370.

There are many mouths have different opinions over it, but it has been seen that the development of Jammu and Kashmir was not possible without scraping of special status. Generally We have seen, a special status is given to the state which is poor and needs to develop with special care by listing in the special status. But the case of Jammu and Kashmir, was very very different. Here a number of terror outfits luring youths to join terrorism.
Youths of the state resorted stones in liew of pen, guns in place of slate and copy and terrorist making training centres in place of school and college.
Jammu and Kashmir is known as the heaven of the Earth and tourism is one of the main sources of income of the state.

1. For the welfare of youths.
2. To build sound infrastructure in the state.
3. Bringing youths in the mainstream of the development.
4. To protect strategic border
5. Not let outsiders ( Pakistan and China) to interfere in the internal affairs of the state.
6. To axe on extremists, terrorists.
7. To control on illigal infiltration from Pakistan.

Conclusion
It was not an easy task to it was a plausible move of the government to annul the article 370 and strengthen federalism with vast powers prevail of centre not states. Article 1 of Indian constitution states, India, that is Bharat shall a union of states. Here parliament has power to separate a state from any territory and alter the name and boundary of the state. There is no aggreement between the states it means no state can secedes from the centre, unlike the USA.

BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self-exile, triggers a ray of hope among people especially minorities living there whose lives are at stake due to frequent incidents of violence. His return can be seen as ending of BNP leadership vacuum and projecting him as a Prime Ministerial post. When he exiled Bangladesh in 2008, never believed he would return Bangladesh but this time as there is no big party before him and general election scheduled on February 12 in 2026, giving him a golden chance to come to power through election. But one of the biggest intersting things is that some members of NCP still don't want to ally with jamaat e Islami. This jamaat e Islami has a very controversial historical records and divisise policy. This jamaat e Islami had waged a war in Bangladesh and has a great sympathy with Pakistan. During military rule in Bangladesh, Shiekh Mujibur Rahman w...
