The main Features of Indian Constitution.

In this content we shall study about the striking features of Indian Constitution. Our Indian constitution was prepared by a constituent assembly, which was formed in 1946 with 389 elected members ( 1 candidate per 10 lakh population) headed by Sachidananda Sinha as an interim chairman and Dr. Rajendra Prasad as a permanent chairman of the constituent assembly. On 26th November 1949, our constitution was made ready and 26th January was chosen, an auspicious day celebrating independence day since 1930, to implement the Indian constitution. It took 2 years, 18 months and 11 days for its completion. Electoral bonds | Supreme Court scraps electoral bonds.

The supreme court pronounced its decision on February 15, upheld constitutional rights of people rejecting electoral bonds with immediate effect, that thwarted right to information about the income from the anonymous sources funding to the registered political parties through electoral bonds. What is electoral bonds?  A medium through which funds are sent to the political parties by an individual, groups or committee through purchasing of electoral bonds.  In India, the electoral bonds firstly brought in the parliament as finance bill in 2017 later in 2018 it was enacted.  Provisions of this electoral bonds. Article 370 , a special special status for Jammu and Kashmir.

The Union Home minister Amit Shah on August 5th, 2019 scrapped the article 370 that granted a special status to the Jammu and Kashmir. The move triggered a widespread criticism of the central government and drew flak from oppositions. Historical background  Jammu and Kashmir was become an integral part of India by an instrument of annexation. Later on 17 October 1948, the centre gave a special status to the state kept foreign affairs, communication and defence in it's hands. The central laws didn't enforce in the state without having permission from state legislative assembly. Any laws or schemes of the central government had to get prior permission from the state for the enactment. The state had it's own constitution and flag and had little autonomy.  Recently, the parliament has passed a bill relating public examination in which several new things have been added in order to conduct fair examinations.  The new Public Examination ( prevention of unfair means) act 2024 prevents any kinds of unfair in examination ranging from cheating to organised crimes in exams and provisions of imprisonment and hefty fine also add colour to this new law. There would be imprisonment of 5 to 10 years and fine upto 1 crore rupees definitely showing the correct intention of the government how much it is focussing on exam system however the unemployment rate is still at high across India.
