1. Ex - Sri Lanka president Maitripala Sirisena settles easter bombing compensation.
- Sri Lanka's former president Maitripala Sirisena has settled in full the Sri Lankan 100 million compensation for the victims of the 2019 Eastern Sunday bombings that killed 270 people including 11 Indians during his tenure.
- Sirisena was ordered by the supreme court to pay 100 million Sri Lankan rupees as compensation to victim for his negligence in preventing the countries' one of the worst terrorist strikes despite having credible information of an eminent attack.
2. Brookfield plans to invest 50000 crore in a renewables.
- Brookfield, a global owner and operator of real assets has purposed to invest over 50000 crore in Andhra Pradesh in the next 3 to 5 years in renewable energy focusing on wind and solar formats.
