In this Bihar state Assembly election shown many things like generosity of RJD, instilling fear of jungleRaj among people by BJP, stakeholding of Left parties, emergence of VIP party, expansion of AIMIM and other vote cutters (votekattua) parties.
Basically in this article I am laying emphasis on the reasons which sunk Mahagathbandhan (MGB). There are several reasons behind the defeat of MGB but the most among them was giving 70 seats to the Congress. Tejeswi led MGB failed to assess the current conditions of the Congress that the later tried to bite more than its could chew.
Second reason was AIMIM factor. Owassi led AIMIM polarized Hindu votes and divided Muslim votes basically in the Seemanchal region of the state consisting Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar, and Purnia districts where with sizeable Muslim population casted their votes to AIMIM.
THIRD, inspite knowing demographic devisions on the basis of caste and traditional patterns of election in Bihar, Congress gave it's maximum tickets to Upper Castes candidates, which resulted in dissent among Lower Caste people and ultimately led to losses.
FOURTH is Left parties taken some RJD's best sitting seats. These Left parties had good strike Rate even better than RJD in the election.
FIFTH is Modi's jungleRaj barb was another reason which dented MGB. Modi got the people recalled jungleRaj of RJD and suggested not to vote these ' Tukre -Tukre Gang ' in his poll campaigns, which worked better and instilled fear of jungleRaj among the voters, and people reversed their decisions when they recalled jungleRaj.
