A surge of Covid infections in China | outbreak of covid in China

A surge of Covid infections in China | outbreak of covid in China

Once again there is surging of covid cases in China and other European countries. When the Corona virus broke out, China immediately launched a very harsh law called " Zero Covid Policy" to combat the corona disease. This Zero Covid policy launched by China aimed to curb on Corona virus did effectively during pandemic but it has also left a deep wounds to many common people who lost their lives or struggle very hard due due to the stringent Zero Covid Policy imposed by the Chinese government.

A series of protest started by people against the harsh law, it also offered many supporters of democracy to raise their voices against the Chinese government. In view of protests seen every where across the country, the Chinese government do away some stringent laws of the Zero Covid Policy.

After giving some relaxations in the stringent Zero Covid Policy, people starts walking and moving on roads, do their routine works, results in spiking of Covid cases once again. People now moving in and around the chinese city, visiting public places and opened international flights for all.

What is the official data says ?

The official data of China says it has very low number of cases, the total death toll up to 5,237. But an independent reports claims more than 19 Lakhs deaths occured in China from the outbreak of Corona virus.

There is 11 casualties in America and 5.6 lakhs casualties in India since breakout. The data shows China has lesser number of deaths compare to India and America. China has tried to hide its data related to Covid virus.

Why is the cases of Covid increasing in China ?

When the Covid broke out, Chines government taken up very harsh measures, adopted Zero Covid Policy, where as other nations adopted moderated policy to curb on the menace.

To know about the real causes, lets understand about Zero Covid Policy.

What is Zero Covid Policy?

It was a sringent law imposed on the Chinese people even for mild infections and hospitalised patients. It allows strict lockdown. Provides isolation facilities to both the infected and their families. Houses were locked with chains. A ten days isolation was made to keep even mild patients and foreigners.

What were the drawbacks of the law?

It was very harsh for the commoners, many died due to this policy. For example, a building was engulfed in fire, people could not come out from the building to save their lives, because the building was locked with chains, this resulted the death of 10 people.

This led to an Anti-government protest and anti-party protest across China. The supporters of Democracy also came out in support of locals. This is why, the government had to give some relaxations in this law. Therefore, rises of cases become undoubtedly.

The most interesting fact, is that Chinese people could affected completely during outbreak. Now they are being affected because their immunity system was checked properly.

In India and other nations during pandemic, the immunity system of Indians made its citizens more tolerable to combat corona virus, but Chinese could affected properly and right now their body have to go through the phase.

The vaccines like Sino Vac and Sina Farm built and developed by the China are not very effective and unable to combat.

Challenges to India and other nations

It is worth noting that it is spread only to China. But it has more probability to spread to its neighbour countries including India. There is a possibility of making of mutations of the virus. A new variant may be formed which would be more harmful for the humanity. This may lead to born a new outbreak.

Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self exile to UK

Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self exile to UK. BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self-exile, triggers a ray of hope among people especially minorities living there whose lives are at stake due to frequent incidents of violence. His return can be seen as ending of BNP leadership vacuum and projecting him as a Prime Ministerial post. When he exiled Bangladesh in 2008, never believed he would return Bangladesh but this time as there is no big party before him and general election scheduled on February 12 in 2026, giving him a golden chance to come to power through election. But one of the biggest intersting things is that some members of NCP still don't want to ally with jamaat e Islami. This jamaat e Islami has a very controversial historical records and divisise policy. This jamaat e Islami had waged a war in Bangladesh and has a great sympathy with Pakistan. During military rule in Bangladesh, Shiekh Mujibur Rahman w...
