Education for skilling | pariksha pe Charcha

India with more than 121 crore population as per census 2011, is the second largest populous country in the world after China. But the recent report states that India will surpass China by the year 2025.

The population of India is seen as a liability but it should be considered as an opportunity. If you invest in the form of education, skilling, health and training, then the population become human capital.

Today a number of students who have completed their traditional courses but have lack of skills leaving behind in the mainstream of development. Those days have been gone when people could live with less skills. Today the high rate of unemployment in India is caused by lack of skills in the youths. Without having skills in the youths we can't untapped their potential. The unskilled youths will remain unsuccessful in their life, and this lead to become a liability on the country. Therefore, to become so, government must think over it. The new education policy also advocates about skilled based education in the children so that they can bloom and make India proud. In the 21st century the whole world is in the race of achieving sound skills either in the field of technology or artificial intelligence, government needs to impart skilled based education in the schools from the elementary level. Bringing computers in the government schools will be one of best ways to approach education for skilling.
