Science is one of the most appealing subjects. It is a subject based on rationality which helps us to reduce both time and efforts. Its salient features help us to understand how our lives can become easy, more luxurious and to discover the undiscovered matter. The ancient age witnesses a great difficulty faced in the lives of human kind, however discovery of fire, Persian wheel were two great discoveries which brought about a revolution in human, and made life easy. 

In this content we will discuss about the importance of science exhibition and the challenges students facing, tips to solve the problems.

Importance of Science Exhibition in children

There are several features of Science Exhibition.

It provides a platform where children can use their intrinsic knowledge and scientific knowledge by creating different arts and crafts best suited to their brains. Science plays a very constructive role in the development and growth among children. Development in children includes physical, cognitive, social and emotional. In physical development- height, body change and motor development comes. Arts and crafts help children use fine motor skills using fingers, and small body parts. 

Thinking creative ideas helps in cognitive development- It helps children to thinking, do reasoning. Also helps in social development and emotional development. 

It maintains internal motivation in children. In which a child start his project, continues them and complete them. They have their own motivation cycle starts from need, drive, arouse, goal directed, achievement and reduction. 

Collection of waste materials and use them in their project in an another form of the objective of the science exhibition. Children are taught how to recycle and reuse the used materials. It helps the children to do 'desi Jugad'. Many children don't have access to many new resources so they prefer waste materials. Because every new materials need money, it become the main constraints in the making of projects. Experts prefer reuse materials in which things are made.

How to start science exhibition

First we have to mentally fit about to do this exhibition. Definitely it would be a very challengeable, better planning and execution helps in better execution of it. 

First we have to assign the work to some teachers who have distinct knowledge in this field, or have experienced should be preferred. But it does not matter new one's should be ignored. 

Second, make a list of the participants who are interested in the science exhibition. But  here the role of  teacher is very important to promote all children irrespective of different genders, aged groups. 

Third, the children are asked to produce the ideas what are the things they want to make. Concerned teachers do inspection of the projects and allow them to prepare them by allowing some extra time with great coordination with their friends. A number of groups are formed with head one's with every groups. The groups are fully responsible to procure materials which are used in their projects. The concerned teachers should help them in procuring materials, because many of them live in remote areas, so accessible to materials become hectic to those students, so there the teachers can play a role of facilitators in procuring materials. 

The concerned teachers collect all the completed crafts in a room two days before the science exhibition. The remaining who could not completed their projects, their projects can be taken for the time being, but not secure. If you reject the projects that are not completed on time, may be the participants get disheartened. So it is wise , to accept all , place them in another room with many projects that are rejected. But merge them all after completion of their projects. Because they use some new materials, which would help in the new science exhibition. 

The children are allowed to showcase their talents to their audience. Exploring talents amidst onlookers help the children to boost their confidence. The children must have proper ideas and the effectiveness to deliver their contents smoothly. It will also attract the audience.

Challenges of science exhibition. 

1. To include all children in the exhibition.

2. Procuring raw materials for preparing arts and crafts.

3. Lack of resources especially money. Because it requires money, and children have limited money.

4. The preparation program should run smoothly so that their study can not hampered.

5. Encourage children all the time.
