Undoubtedly from cracking the civil service exam to serving the nation, the Civil Servants and their works are full of challenge and adventurous. Many people think that they( Civil servants) enjoy special facilities and enjoy luxurious lies, but the reality is not the same all the time.

 Historical Background

Fortunately India got a legacy of a special types of administration called Civil Service from the colonial government or the British government. Since the Britishers did not want to rule India initially, they came India to do business only but the political instability of India gave a room to rule India. We had monarchy system of administration and all powers were vested in the hands of monarchs. Lord Cornwallis is considered the father of Indian Civil service.

A series of Charter acts and India acts were brought by the British government to run the country by the Civil Servants. The image of Civil Servants has been very fairly and loyal towards the British since the adoption of this style of administration. Since they were loyal to the British, many Indians tried their hands to become Civil Servants.

Challenges before Civil servants during 1947

In 1947, when India got Independence, India's first Home Minister Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel addressed the first batch of the republic India. The challenges after the independence was small. A lots of problems like partitions of country, refugees from both Pakistan and India, unification of independent princely states into Indian territory, communal riots, discontent on making Hindi as a national language, etc.

New Challenges

There are several challenges before the civil servants in India. From terrorism, naxalism, casteism, to  social disparities. A civil servant is a man who works as an agent of a government to execute the schemes for the people. A government can't handle the situation alone, they might take help to run the administration and benefiting the schemes to the beneficiaries.

Surging of corruption cases somehow impeding the development and here felt a loyal person, who can do their assigned works tirelessly. The post of a civil servant is constitutional body, enshrined in the article 312 of the Indian constitution. It gives enormous power to exercise and they do well.

Conclusion.

In a nut shell we can say a loyal person or a most worthy and most-trusted servants of all whose life is full of dynamic challenges and find ways to handle all odds. The post is very dynamic, new challenges always attach with them. People should show faith in them and cooperate them with heart and soul. Jai Hind.
