- Ritu Raj Awasthi has been appointed as the Law Commission of India. The First Law Commission was appointed in 1834 as a result of Charter Act 1833 under the chairmanship of TB Macaulay.

- MC Sitalwad was the first Indian Law Commission in republic India. He served also the first Attorney General of India.

- India has total 20 Cheetah. The batch of 8 Cheetah was brought from Namibia, a African country and another batch of 12 Cheetah was brought from South Africa

- In India there are 25 High Courts, and the total number of cases pending in the High Courts is more than 59 lakhs. The highest number of cases pending in Allahabad High Court and the lowest number of cases pending in Sikkim high court. The total number of cases pending in the Supreme Court is 69511.
