1. Allahabad University students to learn management mantras of Lord Krishna.
- The Allahabad University has started an integrated five year BBA-MBA course, in which students are being taught management mantras of Lord Krishna through BhagavadGita, of the Ramayana and the Upanishads, as well as those of Chanakya.
2. Bihar state raises quota limit by 15%.
- Nitish kumar says Law to be enacted in ongoing winter session.
- A new quota fixed for each categories as per reports of caste survey is to be used.
3. Aligarh may soon be renamed Harigarh.
- Aligarh Nagar Nigam mayor has announced that we had received unanimous support from all councillors in favour to change the name of Aligarh into Harigarh, and now will be submitted to the government for their consideration.
International News.
1. Scientist are helping starfish that face extinction.
- Over the past decade the sunflower sea star has gone from a predator of the Pacific Ocean to nearing extinction.
- The Nature Conservancy estimates that 5.75 billion sunflower sea stars died over three years, a 94% global decline.
- The cause, scientists say, is largely climate change and warming waters, spurred by sea star wasting diseases.
