National News.

1. ULFA to be disbanded, says Amit Shah on Historic Peace Deal.

- The peace deal address issues such as illegal immigration, land rights for indigenous communities, and a financial package for Assam's development.

- Home Minister Amit Shah told reporters that the centre will ensure all the reasonable demands by ULFA will be met in a time-bound manner, and ULFA as an organisation will be disbanded.

2. India wants 26/11 Mastermind Hafiz Saeed Extradited, Sends Request to Pakistan.

- India has sent a request to Pakistan to extradite 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed to India.

- Hafiz Saeed, 71, was sentenced to 33 years in jail by a Pakistan court after being convicted in two cases of terror financing in April 2022. The case was filed by Pakistan's Counter-Terrorism Department.

- India's extradition request also comes at a time when a political front backed by the 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind will fight the Pakistan election.

International News.

1. China appoints new defence minister, 2 months after ousting 'missing' Li Shangfu.

- China on Friday appointed Dong Jun as its new defence minister, replacing Li Shangful who was ousted two months ago without any explanation after he went missing since August.

2. A very tense situation in Arabian Sea, India mounts Sea and Air patrols.

- The Brahmos land attack missile carrying INS Kolkata, INS Kochi, INS Mormugao, INS Chennai and INS Visakhapatnam were deployed.

- With Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza showing no signs of abating and Iranian proxies targeting commercial shipping in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, the situation on the high seas off West Asia remains on razor's edge.

In the morning when I got up i saw all the members of my family give up their beds.
