1. Jharkhand CM announces pension at 50 for SC, ST and OBC.

- Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren announced his government will soon lower the age limit for the state's old age pension from 60 years to 50 years for SC, ST and OBC.

- the Jharkhand government is giving out 1000 rupees per month.

2. PM to launch Ayodhya airport, railway station and 15 k crore projects.

- PM Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and revamped Ayodhya Dham airport during his three hours stay in the temple town.

- The consecration ceremony is scheduled on January 22. A 15 k crore rupees has been earmarked for revamping civic facilities and developing world class infrastructure in Ayodhya.

- US president Joe Biden hoped to present a strong international response to yemen's Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping by launching a new maritime force, but a week after its launch many members don't want to be associated with it.

- The two operators of the Operation Prosperity Gaurdian, Italy and Spain issued statement appearing to distance from the maritime force.

2. China reaffirms military threats against Taiwan weeks before president polls in Taiwan.

- weeks before Taiwan holds elections for its president and legislature, China renewed its threat to use military force to annex the self governing island democracy it claimed its own territory.

Hey! Welcome again. Here in this topic we shall try to know how India can be the member of United Nations security council. The efforts India has been pushing for decades turned down by invoking veto. India, a big contender, has been pushing it's demand for making alternation in the structure of UNSC. But the deterrent China bringing impediments in the way make India cry.  India has made remarkable progress in all sectors and has also strengthened it's foreign policy than ever. India is the biggest trade partner of China followed by the US.  The recent developments took place in the interests of India shocked many when India became the member of MTCR in 2016 supported by G7.
