- Former NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Pangaria has been appointed as the chairman of 16th Finance Commission.
- Finance commision, a constitutional body is mentioned under Article 280 of the Indian Constitution. And he will submit its report on October 31, 2025.
- He will be the 16th Finance Commission for 2026-27 to 20230-31.
