1. Om Birla has become the Loksabha speaker for the second time.

- NDA nominee Om Birla has been re-elected as the speaker of Loksabha after Prime Minister moved a motion was adopted through voice vote.

- Bhartihari Mehtab was the protem speaker this time and he administered the oath of office to all members of the Loksabha.

- Deputy speaker for the Loksabha has not decided yet.

2. Rain likely across North West India as monsoon picks up steam.

- Rainfall activity is likely to increase over north-west India with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected during June 28-30, IMD said.

- wikileaks founder Julian Assange returned to his homeland after pleading guilty to obtaining and publishing US military secrets in a deal with justice Department prosecutors that concludes a drawn-out legal saga.

2. Radioactive injection in rhino horns to curbs poaching.

- South African scientists on Tuesday injected radioactive material into live rhino horns to make them easier to detect at border posts aimed at curbing poaching.

The country is home to a large majority of the world's rhinos and as such as a hot spot for poaching driving by demand from Asia where horns are used in traditional medicine for their supposed therapeutic effect.

In the morning when I got up i saw all the members of my family give up their beds.
