1. Supreme court refuses to stay on High court verdict.
- The supreme court refused to stay the Patna High court decision striking down the 65 % caste-based reservation law in jobs and admission in Bihar.
- The High court held that the legislation violating the 50% ceiling set by the nine bench judge of the top court in 1992 .
2. QUAD countries agree to expand maritime ties.
- The QUAD on Monday agreed to expand a Maritime domain awareness initiative to the Indian Ocean to bolster Maritime security and counter illegal activities and finalized response mechanism to enhance coordination for human assistance and disaster relief.
- A meeting of the QUAD foreign ministers in Tokyo also decided to harness digital and emerging technology to improve food security under the AI engage program and to roll out Open Ran (open radioactive access network) telecommunication in the Pacific archipelago of Palau.

- Nicholas madaro was declared the winner of Venezuela presidential election on sunday but the opposition and the key regional neighbours immediately rejected the official result.
