So the entire content is going to be very interesting to all especially students and people who are keen to know about the changing world.

Topics to be covered.

1. Introduction about the current issue which has lead to mass violence in France.

2. Why such type of violence happens frequently in France.

3. How Secularism is responsible for this.

4. How India can assist France to overcome such type of incidents.

 Introduction.

First of all i am expressing my deep condolence to all who lost their lives in this violence. In these days France is facing riots, people come out on the roads blockade them, torched many government vehicles and damaging both public and private property, etc.

Causes leads to riots ?

It starts from a killing of a 17 years old boy whose name was Nahel, driving a car without a valid licence prompted police chasing and stopped him. An another video surfaced on social media shows the police shot the boy by his pistol which sparked an outrage among the common people against the action.

Main reasons or the history of this riots ?

Such type of incidents are being seen in France are very common among minority communities in France. A data shows between the years 2020- 2022, there are 20 such cases done by police basically on minority community. These immigrants minority generally come from African and Arab world. Such a series of incidents again points out many questions on secularism and "One Fit for All" principle. However France put in this tag to bring social harmony and maintain social fabric, the white French people still promoting such type of racial discrimination.

The political system, however makes many laws but failed to check racial discrimination in France. It has also been seen that the leaders encourage police to do such type of crimes against minorities. Here the leaders of minorities found themselves as isolated and stand a position of war. They are not stand against anyone, but the government which failed to check violence against minorities.

The minorities of France are also facing another challenges like poverty, unemployment, limited opportunities in government services and a structured racial form.

How the secularism model of France is responsible for this incident?

Generally there are two types of secularism in the world - Indian secularism and French secularism. Almost all Western countries and follow the French secularism model. In French model neither the church influence the state nor the state influence the church. There is separation of state and religion. It means religion can regulate itself and the state can't interfere into it irrespective of the religious issue is good or bad. This concept was introduced in the 20th century when France was complete a christian country.

But slow and gradually France adopted liberal immigration rule results in reaching of people from  Africa, Asia, and Arab. It changes religious demographic population. White population started decreasing and immigrants increases. In this way France becomes a diverse country.

There is no mechanism developed that can coordinate between religion and state. Since the religion is rigid, the government does not interfere into it. Due to this the minorities see themselves unprotected and vulnerable might be dominated by majoritarian at some time.

What can France learn from India?

France can learn Indian secularism model from India. Indian secularism model is based on "Sarva Dharma Sambhav". All religions have a common destination.

1. India has a "positive secularism", it implies the government can do interfere in any religious affairs if it found any defect or malpractices. For example there was a system like "Sati system, Child marriage, caste system, untouchability in Hindus similarly "Triple Talaq" system was banned in India for muslims.

2. Although Indian government follow neutral approach towards all religions, but Indian secularism makes a coordination between religion and state.

3. Indian government gives freedom of religion and guarantees protection of minorities rights.

Therefore, Indian secularism model is considered better than Western secularism model.

Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self exile to UK

Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self exile to UK. BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman returns Bangladesh after 17 years of self-exile, triggers a ray of hope among people especially minorities living there whose lives are at stake due to frequent incidents of violence. His return can be seen as ending of BNP leadership vacuum and projecting him as a Prime Ministerial post. When he exiled Bangladesh in 2008, never believed he would return Bangladesh but this time as there is no big party before him and general election scheduled on February 12 in 2026, giving him a golden chance to come to power through election. But one of the biggest intersting things is that some members of NCP still don't want to ally with jamaat e Islami. This jamaat e Islami has a very controversial historical records and divisise policy. This jamaat e Islami had waged a war in Bangladesh and has a great sympathy with Pakistan. During military rule in Bangladesh, Shiekh Mujibur Rahman w...
