 INSV TARINI | Capetown to Rio Race 2023  The INSV stands for Indian Naval Sailing Vessels. The INSV TARINI was commissioned in the year 2017. It is a sail boat and it will take participation in the " Capetown To Rio Race 2022". The race will start on January 2, 2023. This competition will start from Capetown and ended at Brazil covering the total distance about 17000 NM including the distance between Goa to Capetown from where the INSV TARINI sailed.  This is the 5th edition of this race, which is going to start on january 2, 2023. This campaign ensures full trainging including navigation, communication, technology, etc to the crew members. This year, the campaing is spearheaded by captain Atul Sinha. Capetown To Rio Race : This race is also known as South Atlantic Yacht Race. It was started in 1971 and the winner is given with South Atlantic Trophy. Indian Navy has six sailing boats namely Mahadiye, Tarini, Bulbul, Hariyaal, Kadalpura, Neelkanth.
